These terms & conditions ("T&Cs") are for the purpose of NxtWave Unsung Stars Awards (“Award(s)”) facilitated by NxtWave Disruptive Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("NxtWave'' or "Company") at its sole discretion. Please read these T&Cs carefully before submitting your nomination in the Awards. Your participation in the Award constitutes your full and unconditional agreement to these T&Cs and any decisions made by NxtWave, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Award. These T&Cs are in addition to and subject to NxtWave’s “Terms of Use” and “Privacy Policy”.
Agreeing to the T&Cs hereby means that you consent, agree, and undertake to participate in the Awards in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of the T&Cs, please do not participate in the Awards.
DEFINITIONS & INTERPRETATION
For the purposes of these T&Cs, unless there is anything in the subject or context inconsistent therewith, the capitalized terms listed below shall have the following meanings. References to any gender include all genders. References to any law include any modification or re-enactment thereof. References to "including" shall be deemed to mean "including without limitation". The headings are inserted for convenience only and shall not affect the interpretation of these T&Cs.
DEFINITIONS
"Award": Refers to the NxtWave Unsung Star Awards.
"Judging Panel": Refers to the group of individuals selected by NxtWave to evaluate nominations and select winners.
"Nomination": Refers to the submission made by a Participant for consideration in the Award.
"NxtWave": Refers to NxtWave Disruptive Technologies Private Limited, the organizer of the Award.
"Participant(s)": Refers to any eligible student currently enrolled in the NxtWave Academy program who submits a nomination for the Award.
"T&C": Refers to these Terms and Conditions.
"Website": Refers to the dedicated award website provided by NxtWave for the submission of nominations.
ELIGIBILITY
The awards are open exclusively to students currently enrolled in NxtWave’s Academy program (“Participants”).
1. Enrollment Status:
Participants must be actively enrolled in a course or program offered by NxtWave Academy at the time of nomination submission and throughout the duration of the award process.
Enrollment status will be verified at multiple stages during the award process, including at the time of nomination submission, during the evaluation phase, and prior to the announcement of winners.
In addition to active enrollment, participants must also be in good financial standing, meaning they must be current on all course fee payments as per the payment schedule. Participants with outstanding fees or payment delays may be disqualified from the award process.
Furthermore, participants whose course tenure has expired or who have completed their program are ineligible for nomination. Only those who are within the prescribed duration of their course or program at NxtWave Academy are eligible to participate in the award process.
2. Geographic Restrictions:
The awards are open to students from all geographic locations, provided they are enrolled in the NxtWave Academy program.
There are no restrictions based on nationality or residence, allowing for a diverse range of participants from various countries and regions.
3. Age Restrictions:
Participants must be at least 18 years old at the time of nomination submission.
If under 18, participants must have explicit written consent from a parent or legal guardian to participate. The consent form must be submitted along with the nomination.
Participants aged 18 and above must provide valid identification to verify their age.
4. Verification of Eligibility:
NxtWave reserves the right to verify the eligibility of participants at any stage of the award process.
Proof of enrollment may include, but is not limited to, a valid student ID, enrollment confirmation letter, or any official document from NxtWave Academy.
Proof of age and identity may include government-issued identification documents such as a passport, driver’s license, or national ID card.
For participants under 18, a consent form signed by a parent or legal guardian is required.
5. Disqualification:
NxtWave reserves the right to disqualify any participant who does not meet the eligibility criteria or who has violated any part of these T&Cs.
Participants found to have provided false information or engaged in any form of misconduct, as determined by NxtWave, will be disqualified immediately.
Misconduct includes, but is not limited to, plagiarism, harassment, discrimination, or any unethical behavior that undermines the integrity of the award process.
Disqualified participants will be notified via email and will forfeit any potential awards or recognitions associated with their nomination.
6. Compliance with Rules:
Participants must comply with all rules and guidelines set forth in these T&Cs and any additional instructions provided by NxtWave during the award process.
Failure to comply with the rules may result in disqualification.
7. Appeal Process:
Disqualified participants have the right to appeal the decision within 7 days of receiving the disqualification notice.
Appeals must be submitted in writing to the designated email address provided in the disqualification notice.
The appeal must include a detailed explanation and any supporting documents or evidence.
NxtWave will review the appeal and make a final decision within 14 days of receiving the appeal. The decision on the appeal will be final and binding.
NOMINATION PROCESS
1. Submission Method:
Participants must submit their nominations through the dedicated awards website provided by NxtWave.
The nomination form must be fully completed and submitted by the specified deadline to be considered valid.
Incomplete or incorrectly filled nomination forms will not be considered.
2. Confirmation of Submission:
Upon successful submission, participants will receive a confirmation message via WhatsApp.
This confirmation serves as an acknowledgment of receipt and does not guarantee acceptance or eligibility.
Participants are advised to save or note the confirmation message for future reference.
3. Alternative Submission:
In the event of unresolved technical difficulties, nominations may be submitted via an alternative email address provided on the awards website.
Participants must clearly indicate their issues with the standard submission process and provide all required information and documents via email.
The subject line of the email should clearly mention "Alternative Submission for NxtWave Unsung Star Awards" along with the participant’s name.
4. Content Requirement:
Nominations must be original and free from plagiarism. Any detected plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification.
Participants must ensure their submissions are truthful and accurate, reflecting their genuine achievements and contributions.
All content submitted should be in English. Submissions in other languages will not be accepted unless specified otherwise.
5. Resubmission:
Participants are not permitted to resubmit their nominations once they have been submitted.
It is essential to review and verify all information before final submission to avoid errors or omissions.
In exceptional circumstances, if resubmission is allowed, participants will be notified accordingly by NxtWave.
6. Deadline Adherence:
All nominations must be submitted by the specified deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Participants are encouraged to submit their nominations well in advance of the deadline to avoid any last-minute issues.
The deadline date and time will be clearly mentioned on the awards website.
7. Verification:
Participants must read and follow the detailed instructions and FAQs provided on the submission process to minimize errors and confusion.
This includes reviewing step-by-step guides and help documents available on the awards website.
Participants are encouraged to double-check their entries for completeness and accuracy before submission.
8. Finality of Submission:
Once submitted, nominations are considered final, and no changes or additions can be made.
Participants should ensure all information is accurate and complete before submission.
In case of any discrepancies found after submission, the nomination may be subject to review and potential disqualification.
CATEGORY SELECTION
1. Self-Nomination Limit:
Participants can self-nominate for a maximum of two categories.
Each nomination must be distinct and relevant to the selected categories.
2. Award Limitation:
Participants can only win in one category.
If a participant is selected as a winner in multiple categories, they will be awarded in the category where they scored the highest, and other nominations will be withdrawn.
3. Criteria Review:
Participants must carefully review the criteria for each category before submitting their nominations.
It is the participant's responsibility to ensure they meet the eligibility requirements for the categories they choose.
4. Category Descriptions:
Each category is designed to highlight different aspects of student achievements.
Detailed descriptions of each category, including the specific criteria and objectives, are available on the awards website.
Participants should thoroughly read and understand these descriptions to ensure proper alignment with their achievements.
5. Unique Requirements:
Certain categories may have unique requirements or additional documents that need to be submitted.
Participants must ensure they meet these specific requirements and provide all necessary documents as part of their nomination.
6. Documentation:
Required documents may include, but are not limited to, letters of recommendation, project reports, certificates, or any other evidence of achievements.
All documents must be submitted in the specified format and adhere to the file size limits provided on the awards website.
7. Disqualification from Categories:
Participants may be disqualified from a category if they fail to meet the category requirements, provide false information, or violate any of the terms and conditions.
Any evidence of misconduct, plagiarism, or fraudulent activity will lead to immediate disqualification from the concerned category and potentially from the entire awards process.
8. Selection Process:
The selection process will be conducted by a panel of judges appointed by NxtWave.
Judges will evaluate nominations based on the criteria specific to each category, considering factors such as merit, effort, impact, and alignment with the category objectives.
9. Notification and Feedback:
Participants will be notified if they are shortlisted or selected as finalists in any category.
Feedback on nominations may be provided upon request, but detailed scores or specific evaluations from judges will not be disclosed.
10. Final Decision:
The decision of the judging panel is final and binding.
NxtWave reserves the right to modify category criteria, combine categories, or introduce new categories as deemed necessary.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
1. Required Supporting Documents:
All nominations must include relevant supporting documents, such as letters of recommendation, project reports, or evidence of achievements, as specified in the nomination form.
Supporting documents must adhere to the guidelines provided on the awards website, including specified formats and file sizes.
Participants should ensure that all documents are comprehensive and accurately reflect their achievements.
2. Adherence to Guidelines:
Submissions must strictly adhere to the guidelines provided on the awards website.
This includes following the specified formats, file sizes, and any other technical requirements outlined in the nomination instructions.
Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in the nomination being deemed invalid.
3. Originality of Content:
Nominations must be entirely original and free from plagiarism.
Participants must ensure that all submitted content is their own work and properly attribute any sources or references used.
Any evidence of plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification from the awards process.
4. Accuracy and Integrity:
Participants are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the information provided in their nominations.
All claims and achievements must be verifiable, and participants should be prepared to provide additional evidence if requested by NxtWave.
5. Submission Completeness:
Ensure that all sections of the nomination form are fully completed and all required documents are attached.
Incomplete submissions will not be considered for evaluation.
6. Confidentiality:
While NxtWave takes reasonable steps to maintain the confidentiality of submissions, participants should avoid including sensitive or proprietary information that they do not wish to be disclosed.
7. Final Submission:
Once a nomination is submitted, it is considered final and cannot be modified or resubmitted.
Participants should review their submissions thoroughly to ensure all information is accurate and complete.
SUBMISSION VERIFICATION
1. Compliance Check:
Submissions will undergo a compliance check to ensure they meet all specified requirements, including format, file size, and completeness.
Any submissions failing to meet these requirements may be rejected without further consideration.
EVALUATION CRITERIA
1. Evaluation Basis:
Nominations will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
Merit: The quality and significance of the achievements.
Effort: The amount of effort and dedication demonstrated by the participant.
Impact on the Community: The positive influence and contributions made to the community.
Adherence to Category Requirements: How well the nomination aligns with the specific criteria and objectives of the selected category.
2. Judging Process:
The judging panel, consisting of experienced professionals and experts selected by NxtWave, will evaluate the nominations.
Each nomination will be reviewed in detail to assess its strengths and alignment with the evaluation criteria.
3. Final Decision:
The decision of the judging panel is final and binding.
No appeals or requests for re-evaluation will be entertained.
Winners will be notified according to the process outlined in the awards guidelines.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS
1. Notification:
Winners will be notified via email.
An official announcement of the winners will be made on the awards website and NxtWave's social media channels.
Winners may also be featured in additional promotional materials on NxtWave's website.
2. Awards and Prizes:
Award winners will receive a trophy, a certificate, and a special gift prize valued up to 25,000 INR.
The details of the prizes will be specified at the time of the announcement.
AWARD CEREMONY
1. Attendance:
Winners will be required to attend the award ceremony, the details of which will be communicated in advance.
Attendance is mandatory to receive the awards and associated benefits.
2. Travel and Accommodation:
Winners are responsible for making their own travel and accommodation arrangements for the ceremony.
NxtWave may provide logistical support or recommendations but will not cover travel and accommodation expenses.
3. Ceremony Details:
Detailed information about the date, venue, and schedule of the award ceremony will be provided to the winners in advance.
Winners are encouraged to prepare for any speeches or presentations they might be asked to give during the ceremony.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF WINNERS
1. Public Recognition:
Winners acknowledge that their achievements will be publicly recognized and agree to participate in related activities as part of the award's recognition process.
This includes, but is not limited to, participation in promotional events, interviews, and media appearances.
2. Role Model Conduct:
Winners must maintain decorum and act as role models for other students.
They are expected to uphold the values and standards set by NxtWave, demonstrating exemplary behavior at all times.
3. Compliance with Terms:
Following the finalization of results, if it is determined that any winner has violated any provisions of these T&Cs or failed to maintain the required decorum, NxtWave reserves the right to disqualify such individuals.
Disqualified winners will forfeit their status and all associated benefits, including the trophy, certificate, and special gift prize.
4. Continuous Engagement:
Winners are encouraged to stay engaged with NxtWave's community, contributing to ongoing initiatives and mentoring other students as opportunities arise.
Their continued involvement helps to inspire and guide future participants.
PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY
1. Use of Personal Information:
All personal information collected during the nomination process will be used exclusively for the purposes of evaluating nominations and administering the awards.
This includes contacting participants, verifying eligibility, and announcing winners.
2. Data Handling:
NxtWave will handle all data in strict accordance with its privacy policy.
Participants' personal information will be stored securely and will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent, except as necessary for the administration of the awards.
3. Participant Consent:
By participating in the awards, participants consent to the collection, processing, and use of their personal data as outlined in NxtWave's privacy policy.
Participants have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of their personal data by contacting NxtWave as specified in the privacy policy.
4. Confidentiality of Submissions:
NxtWave takes reasonable steps to maintain the confidentiality of nomination submissions.
Participants should avoid including sensitive or proprietary information that they do not wish to be disclosed.
5. Data Retention:
Personal information will be retained only as long as necessary for the purposes of the awards and as required by applicable law.
After the conclusion of the awards, personal data that is no longer needed will be securely deleted.
ADDITIONAL RULES
1. Adherence to Rules:
Each participant agrees to abide by all the rules and regulations set forth by NxtWave.
Compliance with these rules is mandatory for participation in the awards program.
2. Amendments to T&Cs:
NxtWave reserves the right to modify or amend these Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) at any time without prior notice.
Participants are encouraged to regularly review the T&Cs to stay informed of any changes.
3. Resolution of Disputes:
Any disputes or issues arising in connection with the awards will be resolved at the sole discretion of NxtWave administration.
The decision of NxtWave in all matters related to the awards is final and binding.
4. Acceptance of Changes:
Continued participation in the awards constitutes acceptance of any modifications to the T&Cs.
Participants who do not agree with any changes must withdraw from the awards by notifying NxtWave in writing.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
1. Grant of Rights:
By submitting a nomination, participants grant NxtWave the right to use, reproduce, and publish the submitted materials for promotional, educational, and any other purposes related to the awards, subject to the confidentiality clause.
2. Copyright Retention:
Participants retain the copyright to their submitted materials.
By participating in the awards, participants grant NxtWave a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use the materials in connection with the awards, other promotional activities, and any related purposes, provided that any confidential information is not disclosed without prior consent.
3. Scope of Use:
The license granted to NxtWave includes the right to distribute, display, and create derivative works based on the submitted materials.
This license is worldwide and perpetual, ensuring that NxtWave can use the materials for as long as necessary to fulfill the intended purposes while respecting the confidentiality of sensitive information.
4. Attribution:
NxtWave will provide appropriate credit to the participants when using their submitted materials, wherever feasible.
Any use of the materials will ensure that confidential information is either excluded or anonymized to protect the participant's privacy.
5. No Compensation:
Participants acknowledge that they will not receive any compensation for the use of their submitted materials beyond the recognition and potential awards specified in the awards program.
6. Confidentiality Considerations:
NxtWave will not publish any materials that contain confidential or proprietary information without the participant's explicit consent.
Participants should clearly identify any confidential information in their submissions to ensure it is handled appropriately.
7. NxtWave Intellectual Property:
Participants acknowledge and agree that they do not gain any rights to NxtWave’s intellectual property by participating in the awards.
NxtWave retains all rights, titles, and interests in its trademarks, logos, copyrighted materials, and any other proprietary information or intellectual property.
LIABILITY
1. Errors and Omissions:
NxtWave will not be held responsible for any errors or omissions in the participant's nomination materials.
2. Participation Risks:
NxtWave shall not be held responsible for any loss, damage, or injury that may occur to participants during their involvement in the awards. By participating, individuals acknowledge and accept that they do so at their own risk and agree to take necessary precautions to safeguard their personal safety and property.
INDEMNIFICATION
1. Participant Responsibility:
Participants agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NxtWave, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to any breach by the participant of these T&Cs or any act or omission by the participant in connection with the awards.
REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES
1. Accuracy of Information:
By submitting a nomination, participants represent and warrant that all information provided is true, accurate, and complete to the best of their knowledge.
2. Rights and Licenses:
Participants confirm that they have the right to submit the materials and grant the licenses specified in these T&Cs.
3. Originality and Infringement:
The submitted materials are original and do not infringe upon or violate any intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights of any third party.
4. Confidential and Proprietary Information:
The nomination does not contain any confidential or proprietary information that the participant does not have the right to disclose.
5. Legal Compliance:
The nomination complies with all applicable laws, statutes, regulations, and ordinances.
COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS
1. Legal Adherence:
Participants agree to comply with all applicable laws, statutes, regulations, and ordinances in connection with their participation in the awards.
TERMINATION
1. Right to Terminate:
NxtWave reserves the right to terminate or suspend the awards at any time without prior notice.
2. No Liability:
In the event of such termination, NxtWave shall have no liability to any participant for any reason.
DISQUALIFICATION
1. Violation of T&Cs:
NxtWave reserves the right to disqualify any participant who is found to have violated these T&Cs, engaged in unlawful or improper conduct, or otherwise undermined the integrity of the awards.
PUBLICITY RIGHTS
1. Consent for Use:
By participating in the awards, participants consent to the use of their name, likeness, voice, and/or biographical information for promotional and advertising purposes in any media worldwide, without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
FORCE MAJEURE
1. Limitations of Liability:
NxtWave shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under these T&Cs if such failure results from any cause beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, labor disputes, or governmental actions.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION
1. Amicable Resolution:
In the event of any disputes arising out of or in connection with these T&Cs, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the dispute amicably through negotiation.
2. Arbitration:
If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, it shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
The seat of arbitration shall be Hyderabad, India, and the language of arbitration shall be English.
The arbitrator shall be selected by NxtWave.
GOVERNING LAW
1. Applicable Law:
These T&Cs shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
2. Jurisdiction:
Any legal actions, claims, or proceedings arising out of or relating to these T&Cs shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Telangana, India.

1. Communication with NxtWave:
All notices and communications to NxtWave should be sent to the email address or phone number provided on the awards website.
2. Communication with Participants:
Notices to participants may be sent to the email address provided during the nomination process.
